Senior HR Generalist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a Senior HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions and providing strategic support to the HR department.

– Oversee Recruitment / Talent Acquisition, including job posting process.

-Oversee employee probationary reviews; completion of the reviews, tracking database.

– Respond to Human Resources inquiries from employees and Management.

– Assist employees and Management on Human Resources policies and their interpretation.

– Oversee new hire orientation packages and administer safety training.

– Oversee salary and hourly employees’ enrollment in ADP.

– Oversee payroll process ( bi-weekly payroll, year end T4’s)

– Oversee benefits monthly reconciliation, remittances.

– Oversee Occupational Health & Safety policies procedures (Claims Management).

– Job safety analysis of all job tasks

– Research, develop, and maintain job descriptions based on occupational classifications.

– Assist with administration of non-work-related time off including pregnancy/parental

leaves and employees off on EI sick benefits in conjunction with payroll and benefits.

– Assist in preparation of disciplinary letters.

– Participate in investigations related to disciplines, workplace violence harassment.

– Participate in Joint Health & Safety committee meetings, follow up on recommendations.

– Research and recommend modifications to existing policies.

– Perform all other duties as assigned by HR department head.


– Over 5 years of demonstrated HR Generalist experience, preferably from a food

manufacturing environment.

– Hands on experience working with Human Resources legislation and regulations.

– Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

-Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

– Intermediate to advanced computer skills (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

– Outgoing, positive, energetic, and supportive personality.

– Organized, ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.

– Experience working in a team-based environment.

– Demonstrated aptitude for superior customer service.


Monday – Friday

(12 PM – 8PM)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay


  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)


  • Human resources: 5 years (preferred)
